Actions and Stuff Not Working? 8 Fixes for Minecraft Bedrock
You installed Actions and Stuff, opened Minecraft, and nothing changed. The animations look exactly the same as before. If this happens on your device, the cause is usually pack activation, resolution settings, or another pack overriding the same assets.
We are providing every tested fix for Actions and Stuff not working on Minecraft Bedrock, covering Android, iOS, Windows PC, and console. Actions and Stuff is a Minecraft Marketplace texture pack by Oreville Studios that uses Bedrock’s resource pack system to add custom animations, particles, and 3D models. Each fix below takes under two minutes. Start with the checklist, then jump to the section that matches your problem.
Quick Fix Checklist
Work through these seven steps in order. Most players find the problem in the first three.
- Confirm Minecraft Bedrock Edition is installed and updated
- Open Settings, then Global Resources
- Check that Actions and Stuff is in Active Packs, not Available Packs
- Move any conflicting animation pack below it or remove it
- Set resolution to 16x if you see lag or crashes
- Close Minecraft fully and reopen, then reload your world
- Reimport the MCPACK if the pack vanished after an update
Still stuck? The detailed fixes below cover each problem with exact steps.
Why Actions and Stuff Stops Working
Actions and Stuff is not an app. Downloading the file is only step one. The pack has to be imported into Minecraft and then manually switched on inside Global Resources before any animation shows up in your world.
Three common causes are:
The pack imported but was never moved into Active Packs. Another resource pack sits above it and overrides the same animation files. A Minecraft update or compatibility change affected your previously active packs. Each one has a fix below.
Before You Reinstall Actions and Stuff
Reinstalling is rarely the answer, and most players jump to it too early. Deleting and redownloading costs you 18 MB of data and five minutes, and it does not fix an activation problem.
Check three things first. Is the pack sitting in Active Packs or Available Packs? Is another resource pack modifying the same animations or entities? Does your Minecraft version match the pack release you installed? If all three check out and animations still do not appear, then reinstalling makes sense.
Fix 1. Actions and Stuff Installed but Animations Are Not Showing
This is the number one reason Actions and Stuff is not working. The MCPACK imported correctly, but the activation step got skipped.
Check Global Resources First
Open Minecraft and tap Settings. Go to Global Resources. You will see two sections, Active Packs and Available Packs. If Actions and Stuff appears under Available Packs, it is installed but switched off. Tap the plus icon next to it to move it into Active Packs, then reload your world and watch your walking animation.
Pack Order in the Active List
If the pack is already in Active Packs but animations still do not show, check its position. Bedrock stacks resource packs, and a pack higher in the list overrides matching files from packs below it. Move Actions and Stuff above any other pack that modifies the same animations, textures, or entities. Reload your world after moving it.
Fix 2. Actions and Stuff MCPACK Will Not Import on Android
You tapped the MCPACK file and nothing happened. Minecraft did not open and no import screen appeared. Android does not know which app should handle MCPACK files.
Set Minecraft as the Default App
Open Minecraft first and let it load fully to the main menu. Leave it running in the background. Now open your file manager, find the MCPACK in your Downloads folder, and tap it. Minecraft should come forward and start the import.
If the Import Still Does Not Start
Go to Android Settings, open Apps, and find your file manager. Tap Open by Default and clear any saved defaults for this file type. Some file managers block unknown formats completely, so try tapping the file from your browser’s download list instead.
Newer Android versions restrict apps from reaching Minecraft’s internal folders, so manually moving the file into the resource packs folder no longer works on Android 11 and above. Use the tap-to-import method, and if the file appears corrupted, redownload a fresh copy from the Actions and Stuff Android installation guide.
Fix 3. Minecraft Crashes After Installing Actions and Stuff
The game closes on launch, or it crashes the moment you load a world. On older and lower-end devices this usually points to the resolution setting.
Drop the Resolution
Open Minecraft, go to Settings, then Global Resources. Tap the gear icon next to Actions and Stuff. Three resolution options appear, 16x, 32x, and 64x. On devices from before 2019, or anything with 4GB RAM or less, select 16x. This mode uses the least memory and every animation still runs at full quality.
If the Game Crashes Before You Reach Settings
Remove the pack from Active Packs first, which lets Minecraft open normally again. Reactivate it, immediately set resolution to 16x, then load a world. If it still crashes, lower your render distance to 8 chunks and close background apps before launching Minecraft. Older devices with 3GB RAM or less often need both changes together.
Fix 4. Actions and Stuff Disappeared After a Minecraft Update
Your animations worked yesterday and stopped after Minecraft updated. Your file is not deleted in most cases. The activation just needs restoring.
Reactivate the Pack
Open Minecraft after the update. Go to Settings, then Global Resources, and check Available Packs. If Actions and Stuff is there, tap the plus icon to move it back into Active. This takes 30 seconds and brings every animation back.
Reimport If the Pack Is Gone Completely
If the pack does not appear anywhere in Global Resources, it needs reimporting. Download version 2.0 from the Bedrock installation page, then tap or double-click the file. Minecraft imports it and it shows under Available Packs. Activate it and you are back to normal.
Fix 5. Wrong or Partial Animations Showing
You activated the pack but see a mix of old and new movements. Some mobs look updated while your player still moves the default way. Two packs are competing over the same files.
Check for a Pack Conflict
Open Settings, then Global Resources, and read through your Active Packs list. Look for any second pack that touches animations, entities, or player models. Two packs that modify the same animation files can override one another, and the higher one in the stack wins.
Fix the Pack Order
Remove the second animation pack, or move Actions and Stuff above it in the list. Texture packs, skin packs, and sound packs run alongside Actions and Stuff without any conflict, since they touch different files. Reload your world after changing the order and the animations display correctly.
Fix 6. Actions and Stuff Not Working on Realms
Realms handle resource packs differently from single player worlds. There are two separate setups here, and mixing them up is why most Realm players get stuck.
If You Own the Realm
Open Realm settings from the main menu and go to Resource Packs. Add Actions and Stuff to the Realm’s pack list. Every player who joins gets the animations applied on their screen without installing anything themselves. This is the option to use if you want the whole Realm to look the same.
If You Are Joining Someone Else’s Realm
You do not need the owner to change anything. Open Settings on your own device, go to Global Resources, and confirm Actions and Stuff is in Active Packs. Your copy applies to your screen only, and the other players keep whatever they have set up. Animations work in the Realm as soon as the pack is active on your device.
Fix 7. Actions and Stuff Not Working on iPhone or iPad After Purchase
You bought the pack from Minecraft Marketplace and the Minecoins came out of your balance, but no animations appear in your world.
The cause is usually the same as every other platform. The pack downloaded but was never activated. Open Minecraft, go to Settings, then Global Resources, find Actions and Stuff under Available Packs, and tap the plus icon.
If the pack does not appear in Global Resources at all, force close Minecraft. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, find Minecraft in the app switcher, and swipe it away. Reopen the app and check Global Resources again.
Purchases on iOS sometimes fail to download even after payment goes through. Open Marketplace, tap your profile icon, and go to Purchases. Find Actions and Stuff and tap Download. You will not be charged a second time. Full purchase steps are in the iOS installation guide.
Fix 8. Actions and Stuff MCPACK Will Not Open on Windows PC
You downloaded the MCPACK, double-clicked it, and nothing happened. Minecraft did not open and no import started.
Right-click the file and select Open With, then choose Minecraft. If Minecraft is missing from that list, open the Microsoft Store, find Minecraft Bedrock Edition, and confirm it is fully installed rather than just listed in your library. Try Open With again after that.
If you have Java Edition instead of Bedrock Edition, the MCPACK will never open. Java Edition does not read MCPACK files, and there is no workaround. Check your version in the game launcher, and if it says Java Edition you need Bedrock from the Microsoft Store. The Windows PC installation guide covers which version you need.
For manual import on Windows, press the Windows key and R together. Type %appdata% and press Enter. Open Local, then Packages, then Microsoft.MinecraftUWP, then LocalState, games, com.mojang, resource_packs. Copy the MCPACK into that folder and open Minecraft. The pack appears in Global Resources.
Actions and Stuff Still Not Working. Last Resort Steps
Nothing above worked? Run through these four checks before you give up.
Check your Minecraft version. Open Minecraft, go to Settings, and read the version number at the bottom of the screen. Match it against the release you installed, and if you are running a beta or preview build, switch to the stable Bedrock release while troubleshooting.
Delete and reimport from zero. Remove Actions and Stuff from both Active and Available in Global Resources. Delete the MCPACK from your device storage. Download a fresh copy from the main download page and import it again.
Check your free storage. Minecraft cannot finish an import with less than 500 MB free. Clear space and download again.
Try an earlier release. If the current version will not run on your device, the old versions archive has every previous release. Match the release to your Minecraft version before downloading.
